How We Work

A clear path from uncertainty to evidence.

Every engagement follows the same disciplined arc — scaled to the size of the problem.

  1. 1

    Discover

A focused conversation to understand your estate, your obligations and what is keeping you up at night.

  2. 2

    Assess

On-site and desk-based review of systems, records and governance — establishing an honest baseline.

  3. 3

    Advise

Clear, prioritised recommendations with the reasoning behind them. No jargon, no product to sell.

  4. 4

    Assure

Support through implementation and into business-as-usual, so improvements stick and evidence stands up.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What areas do you cover?

RPW is based in North-East England and works both on-site and remotely. Much advisory, review and governance work can be delivered remotely, with site visits arranged where the work needs them.

What does an Authorising Engineer do?

An Authorising Engineer (AE) provides independent assurance that an organisation’s engineering safety arrangements — for example water or ventilation systems in healthcare — are being managed correctly. Typically this includes auditing safe systems of work, reviewing competence, and recommending the appointment of Authorised Persons.

How are engagements structured?

Engagements range from short advisory pieces and one-off audits to mobilisation support, interim leadership and longer governance improvement programmes. Scope and fees are agreed up-front after an initial conversation.

Are you tied to any contractors or software vendors?

No. RPW is fully independent, so recommendations are made purely on what is right for your estate — not to sell a product, a system or a follow-on contract.

What happens after I get in touch?

Richard will respond within one business day to arrange a short, no-obligation conversation about what you need. If there is a good fit, you will receive a clear proposal setting out scope, deliverables and timescales.

Can you work alongside our existing FM provider?

Yes. Independent technical input is often most valuable alongside an incumbent provider — for example assuring compliance evidence, supporting a mobilisation, or reviewing performance against contract.
